How do i read my prescription?
All types of contact lenses:
BC/Radius = Base curve
DIA = Diameter
Sphere/SPH/PWR = Power
Visus = Not applicable, ignore
Only toric lenses:
Cyl = Cylinder (e.g. "-0.75")
Ax = Axis (e.g. "90")
N.B. Axis 0 och axis 180 is the same value.
Only progressive lenses:
Add/Addition = Extra power (e.g. "+2.00" or "Low") -
Are there right- and left lenses?
Contact lenses are not manufactured specifically for right or left eyes. We and your optician state "left" and "right" to make it easier for you to remember which power that goes with which eye.
If you have the same vision defect in both eyes, you can ignore the left- and right indication. -
I use two different lens types for my eyes.
Do you use two different lens types or brands? Select the first one here (you choose quantity 0 boxes on either the right or left eye. It does not matter which) and press the "add to cart"-button. Then you search for your second lens type and repeat the same procedure. It does not matter if you choose the left or right eye for either lens type (see the question of left and right lenses above).
